when to take pregnancy test after implantation bleeding?

I'm ebf and 5.5 months post partum and have yet to have a period so I'm not fully sure I'm even ovulating yet. We dtd and thought maybe we caught the first egg as I had ovulation symptoms and I had a little bit of bleeding 10 days after and thought maybe it was implantation bleeding. with my first I had bleeding at 10 days and took a test 12 dpo at night time. I took one today and it was negative but think it might be a little early still. it was diluted, mid-day urine and only 2 days after the bleeding. just wondering others' experiences of when they got an accurate result after implantation bleeding!
