Delayed because of a cyst :(

So went to first scan on Thursday, and collected meds for short cycle, but they found a 2+ cm cyst on my left ovary (PCOS but get AF monthly). Drs put me on metformin and back on the pill in hopes it will shrink, and can start next month. Feeling so sick on these meds, and keep thinking 'this isn't how pregnancy is meant to happen..' Anyone been through this before?
