Bleeding during sex

So I lost my virginity towards the end of December. I bled a little bit but not too much. This past weekend my fwb came up we had sex. The first night I bled but didn’t realize until the end. There were a few drops here and there. But just last night we were going but he stopped when he noticed I was really bleeding. There was a huge blood stain on my sheets and I had blood all over my thighs. It look like I had started my period. After washing my sheets there was stuff that looked like flesh on the sheets still. I’m not bleeding anymore but I’m very sore. I’m not sure if I should go get checked out or if I should wait. Is it normal to bleed like that?
