Tips for sharing a room w/ baby

Elisabeth

We live in Los Angeles, where space is limited, and will be sharing our bedroom with the baby for at least the first year or as long as we can make it work.

Anyone else in the same boat? Looking for tips on utilizing space efficiently and, if you've done this before, successfully sleeping through the night (ha! Or close to it!).

I love seeing all of the nursery updates but I'd also love to see how you're doing if you don't have as much space!

**Update**

Adding photos of our bedroom. We spent our Saturday rearranging, getting rid of old clothes, and moving a dresser out from the nook in the back corner of the first photo. There's some leftover clutter hanging out in various spots but it's a process and I know ya'll won't judge! 😉

First photo is taken from the doorway. We ordered a mini crib that will fit perfectly in that little nook. Planning to move the window unit so it's not blowing air directly on baby (but still providing some sweet white noise!). I think there's a lot we can do storage wise with the sliding door closet on the left...I kept the doors open just so you can see what we're working with.

Second photo is taken from the other side of the room. I was standing in the area where the crib will be. You can see there's a second closet and a dresser in front of the bed. I'm considering a changing table/small dresser for the wall but that might make it extra cramped.

I'd love to know how you all manage middle of the night feedings and diaper changes. Wondering if I'll take baby out of the room for diaper changes to spare my husband from having to wake up? 😂 or make him get up and help out. I have no idea!

Also, we're working on getting photos up on the walls. Things are so bare right now!
