So I asked my boyfriend if he could take Valentines Day off so we could spend the whole day together, and his response was... “No, I’m not taking one day off because of a ‘holiday’, it’s not even a holiday fr people just make it seem like that, you only want me to take it off so you can get gifts.” My response was “No, I don’t care about gifts, I just want to spend the day w you.” Even though today I went out and started getting him stuff for Valentines Day already.... I’m not asking him for gifts, would I be lying if I said I wasn’t expecting anything thing from him...? Yes. I just feel like, you should make your significant other feel special on that day (and any other day of course), and it would make me feel happy just to spend the day with him. I just guess money is more important to him. And then he proceeds to say “You just better hope I get off early that day”
