Sex! Joy or pain?

So we are at the beginning of TTC. I see people saying they have to have sex at certain times. I get it, but isn’t that a bonus? I don’t know anyone else’s relationship but we love pleasing each other. It sounds autonomous reading people saying it. Just seeking a little insight...

For some people sex causes issues like pain and discomfort. Some people have amazing relationships without sex being part of it. And when you are timing sex down to a fine point in time it becomes something you have to do rather than want to do at that time. We are only on our first month of actively trying and me and my husband are fed up with it already. I get irritated, sore and itchy with sex and he gets sore. I also get BV sometimes from sex and believe me that’s not any fun nor is the antibiotics you have to take for it. But we have an amazing and loving relationship that doesn’t need sex to work. So that’s why you see that. I’m new to this but I totally get it and I can’t see us managing two months of the having to throughout the fertile period never mind the year and more of others. Wev wanted another for five years and haven’t prevented it but we’ve made love when we were in the mood and wanted to. Now we have to and much more frequently than we would choose.
