I can't stand it when someone asks me how so and so is doing and it's regarding someone I don't really associate with or like. & when someone is like tell so & so I said hi, I'm like, tell them yourself.

Usually. I’d just handle it like “I ran into so-and-so at place”, then the response is typically “oh, how are they doing?” “Good, they said to tell you hello”. Easy peasy.
