So hormonal iuds help with acne?

I have never been on the pill, and I am not really interested in it either. But I really want to use some form of contraceptive other than a condom too, as I feel I’d be a little more protected. But, I really want to get something that will contribute to clearing up my hormonal acne. I get it pretty bad all over my body. (Literally all over- face arms chest back legs, booty - you name it) any suggestions?  Thank you so much!

Most people complain about a worsening in acne with IUDs. Personally, mine has been the same but I am also on topical medications prescribed by my dermatologist. I wouldn’t let that stop you from getting an IUD. Just make an appointment with your dermatologist and they can prescribe you some medication to help!

I would definitely go see a derm instead of using hormonal bc for acne. Every time I had to change bc it just ruined my skin all over again and I ended up back at the derm anyway. I'm off hormonal bc now and loving it, I wish I never went on it in the first place. Bonus my skin has stayed under control for once
