5 days late

I’m 5 days late on my period. Which is basically my entire period because they only really last 4 days. And I’ve never been this late before except when I was pregnant and then had a miscarriage. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came back negative. Is it too soon to tell if I’m pregnant or not? I’m just confused.
