Sleeping arrangements?!?!

Question

First time moms do you let your newborn sleep in their crib in your bedroom or do you get a bassinet or a pack-n-play for them to sleep in beside your bed???  OPINIONS PLEASE!

I haven't had my baby yet (3 more long weeks) but I have a bassinet in our room, a crib in her room, and a pack and play downstairs for naps or when my SO is playing video games lol

For probably the first 3 weeks I had my baby sleeping in a rock n’ play next to my bed, and then he went into the pack n play, I probably won’t bring the crib out till he’s 6m+

It’s a personal preference. As long as whatever you choose is a safe sleep space it doesnt matter if it’s bassinet or cot. 
We personally used a bassinet because our pram came with a bassinet that then could be brought inside to sit on its own frame. We switched to a portacot once he outgrew the bassinet because a normal cot wouldn’t fit in our room

I let baby sleep in her docatot we place it in the middle of the bed.

I struggled with this the first week but we have our son sleeping in a bassinet. Currently it’s in our room but we are moving it to his room this weekend. I’ve done research that says to help babies with day/night confusion and getting them to sleep bette, babies should be in their space during bedtime routines and during night hours. He’s so small compared to his crib so I feel better with him being in the bassinet right now. Once he’s a bit bigger we will transition him to his crib. Right now he’s 6 weeks.

Bassinet in our room for 4 weeks then moved the bassinet to her nursery aka when hubby went back to work. I slept in the nursery with her for another 2 weeks.

We used a bassinet for 8 weeks in our bedroom, then moved him into the crib in his own room. This is what worked for us, and the transition from bassinet to crib was flawless because we did it before he got too used to the bassinet. My son is 4 months and we still don’t own a pack n play. I have always brought my son upstairs to sleep in his own room for naps.
