found this out from the nurse scanning ne yesterday that scans hurt babys ears.

While I do believe scanning that’s done by non medical professionals might not be the best idea (I’ve heard there are places in America you can get ultrasounds in mall kiosks), they are too valuable a diagnostic tool to skip them altogether. Using an article that’s over fifteen years old as your evidence also discounts advancements that have been made since then.

Well as the wife of a radiologist, this is complete BS. If there is one text that is the safest out there to diagnose problems in utero or after, it’s ultrasound. The benefits of ultrasound FAR surpassed the very small percentage of risks. 
People will always try and find a problem when there is none.

In America, a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy you’ll get 1-2 ultrasounds your whole nine months
In Germany, with all five of my healthy, uncomplicated pregnancies, I’ve had a minimum of five, and up to seven. 
Statistics for birth defects, mental disorders, etc. are higher in America than in Germany. Food for thought

I don’t think this is 100% true. Over years of building machines to be able to do this, they will have also found ways to minimize the risk of damage toward the child and the mother too otherwise they wouldn’t allow them so frequently. 
So do some more research before you start trying to scare other women on here.

Id rather get a scan done to rule out any abnormalities, placental issues and cervix problems. I was scanned weekly with my 3rd she is 3 next month and shes fine. I have 4 kids actually and none seem affected, all healthy, i am glad i had scans tho, a 17 week scan discovered a placenta previa, my second baby i had polyhydramamnios and this was diagnosed though a scan. I don’t believe this at all. If your going to have hearing loss it’s probably going to happen regardless. 
I got 20+ ultrasounds during my pregnancy because I had twins and it was high risk. My babies both have great hearing. I should also mention their dad is deaf and deafness runs in his side of the family.

My son literally didn’t budge a bit during my ultrasound, was sleeping through the entire thing (while sucking on his hands) 
So if this did in fact hurt babies ears I’m pretty sure a lot of babies would be flipping out in the womb
