Three days old.. formula every hour?

Hey there! FTM here. My little one drinks a two ounce bottle every two hours.. and always poops right after. Is this normal? How much did your LO eat?

My guy has eaten every two hours since birth. By 2 weeks it was 4oz, 5 weeks 6oz and at 4 months hes eating 6-10oz every two hours. Some babies are just hungry.

That sounds like a lot. A newborn’s stomach is only the size of a marble..have you tried pace feeding and watching for hunger cues to feed or just offering the bottle? Is he/she spitting up a lot?

Sounds fine especially until back to birth weight, but ask your doctor if worried.  I don't think you should withhold food from a newborn if they want it. It's also normal to poop every time they eat as the food coming in triggers it.

That seems really excessive. Are the poops normal? Maybe see your baby health nurse... my babies would poop 1-4 times a day less on formula... maybe 1 a day or twice. And should be feeding every 3-4 hrs
