Cycle won’t regulate - should I try Clomid?

How am I supposed to determine ovulation if my cycle won’t regulate? I’ve been off BC since June and I did a round of provera in October to force a period. Since then, I have had a 34 day cycle, 29 day cycle and now am on day 34 again with no sign of AF and a BFN. I don’t have PCOS so I’m not sure what the issue is! My dr has no problem being proactive and putting me on Clomid. Is it too soon to say yes and try it? Help!

I have irregular periods as well but not pcos. We aren't out of luck. I have found ways to be able to pinpoint ovulation quite accurately. Usually first HUGE sign is large amounts of discharge. Every time I feel like I'm gushing I take a OPK and it's positive. You can buy cheap opk test kits on Amazon. The one I just bought had 50 Opk tests and 20 pregnancy tests for $19! Between monitoring your CM consistency and amount and using OPK's you should be pretty aware.

I had that issue too. So my doctor made me do progesterone which triggered my period and then clomid. Worked for me!

I have irregular cycles and asked my doctor for it. She had no issue prescribing it. If your doctor is offering and you feel ok with the potential risks/side effects i say go ahead.
