Do you think paying money to anyone to adopt a child is ethical?

I think paying huge sum of money to adopt a child is unethical. What is the rationale when adopting a child is for the good is that child. What do you ladies think?

Answer

Paying money for a child (like domestic infant adoption) is reminiscent of child trafficking. Disgusting. 
Paying for an attorney to represent you in a foster to adopt case is still paying money, but you need an attorneys representation. This makes sense. 
Paying for travel and a translator to help you in a foreign country if you adopt internationally also makes sense. It’s paying people for services. I can’t expect them to all work for free just because it’s an adoption. It’s like saying “but I’m hungry! My food should be free then!” 
I would scrutinize all bills though and not sign with an agency that can’t provide straightforward information on where money goes and what it pays for.

I’m giving my baby up for adoption and I do not want to go through an adoption agency because of how much the couple would have to pay the agency, and where does that money even go??? 
I think it’s fair to go through an attorney and pay for just some medical bills, but paying thousands and thousands of dollars to an agency just seems wrong to me.
