Why is it so tough?

This pregnancy has been tough for me. I suffer from IBS and really horrible acid reflux. I’m 18 weeks 5 days & haven’t gain weight... I’ve actually lost weight. And I feel like I’m getting depressed as well... *sigh*
I hope it gets better from here. Gotta stay positive xoxo

I have crohns as well. I see my GI and ob plus high risk ob and a GI that specializes in OB patients. I have only put on 3 pounds and I am 26 weeks and baby is fine. They also let me take all my PRN meds if I want including protonix, Zantac, fiber, Zofran, Phenergan, and immodium. Although I try not to take any of it.

I have IBS and IBD. I’m 28.5 weeks and only in the last week or two have gained any weight, 2 lbs! And baby is growing on track. 
I would talk to your doctor if you’re  concerned. They may have suggestions to help you feel better both physically and emotionally. They may also be able to offer you reassurance that the baby is developing properly. Some people don’t gain weigh at all. If you’ve got some extra pounds on you prepregnancy than it’s not a big deal. 
Make sure you’re taking your prenatal, staying hydrated and eating as best as you can. 
Because of my crohns I get monthly ultra sounds to check on the babies growth. I watch my diet closely and stay hydrated. I was told to inform my GI doc immediately should I have a flare.
