When will you stop breastfeeding?

I'm trying to cut back a bit cause I hate pumping at work, but my son is a year old and I'm not completely ready to wean him.

As much as I’ve loved breastfeeding and don’t really want to stop, I also really want to stop at the same time lol. I know that doesn’t make sense but it’s so hard and I want my body back for a while! But I love the bond and nourishing my daughter. Ugh, I’m torn.

i feel like my just turned 12 month old is addicted nd nurses for comfort and he barley eats regular food. nd not as much in daycare. and he is not gaining as much weight as he should so. starting yesterday after he got out of daycare i have not offered the boob since! not even at night just pumped and or gave him reg milk and he actually took it. was a long night but still going strong.

I'm still pumping for her but my supply has tanked in the last week and now I have mastitis again so I'm not sure....I think I envisioned pumping a couple times a day for 6 more months give or take.

We will stop when he is ready. However, once he turns one, I will stop offering Breast before every meal. I’ll give it only when he asks for it.

I'm going back to work next week. 😫 I decided I didn't want to pump at work so over the last few weeks I've gone from 4 daytime feeding sessions to just one first thing in the morning and one before bed. I plan to keep those up as long as I can and he wants to.
Overnight feeds on the other hand... feels like those will never end, heh.

I stopped maybe 2 weeks before he turned one. I had my miscarriage and I was really down and didnt feel to breastfeed anymore, and I know my son was ready to wean so it went naturally. I was already at only one nursing session per day, so it went smooth! And now my son is on cow milk. 🙂

When we start giving her milk I will cut back. I will probably nurse her first thing in the morning and before bed until she weans herself.
