I'm not fond of my name at all. I really don't like how it sounds. (Shatika) ppl can't even pronounce it right 🙄. I tell ppl to call me Tika that's better to me minus the "Sha". So do you like, love, or hate your name?

I’m LaTesha. People call me Tonya, Toya, Tasha, Tina,  Lauren, Leslie, Leah, Lettie...anything that starts with an “L” or a “T”...I’ve been called. 
I have to stop people from giving me a nickname because they refuse to learn my name 😡😡😡. I had a boss that was like okay your new name is “Teeka”...uh no sir 😑😑😑
I would love a to be named Summer, Hillary, Jordan or something basic. But, my moms face lights up when she tells me the story of how she looked at me for the first time and decided on my name. It’s an expression of joy, love, and pride 💕❤️😊...so I’d never tell her how I feel or legally change my name like I once wanted.

The only time my name has really bothered me was in high school when I had a creepy male teacher that sang the song "Sweet Melissa" Everytime I walked into his classroom. I'm sure he did it to other students with names in songs too, but I was the only one in that class and it creeped me out big time.
