Rash?

My baby is 4 months old and I’ve noticed this on his cheeks for a few weeks now, and today I saw it under his neck... any idea what it could be? 
Maybe heat rash?
I’ve been applying lotion thinking it was dry skin...but his cheeks look the same

our daughter got that from drooling. but it was never that bad. I made sure she had a bib on most of the time and dabbed her chin often. keeping the area clean and dry, is what will keep it from getting a rash.. I also bathed her every night and made sure she never has milk on her face after she's done eating.  to treat her rashes(any rashes), I've always used A+D cream. it cleared rashes within a day. but u need to prevent them by keeping the chin and neck clean and dry..

Do nottttttt put lotion on it as it will only irritate it even more!! It looks a lot like eczema, my daughter had bad eczema and we were told to put hydrocortisone cream on it. It was a certain form of eczema though, I called doctor as soon as she broke out with it.

Ours looked similar and it ended up being eczema. It doesn’t hurt to get it checked out. Our ped prescribed a steroid ointment and it started getting better within a few hours. Other than that, try Aquaphor.

What kind of lotion do you use? My pedi warned against the typical baby lotions because they contain alcohol. Coconut oil would be a good option. Also aquaphor is another good choice.
