So I was with my fiancee for almost a decade and we had 2 kids together. He passed away a little over 2 years ago and my kids have made comments about a new dad as if I could go to the store and buy one. I have explained that it doesn't work that way. I haven't been actively dating or looking because even though we never actually got married I feel like a widow. My kids comments have made me think about what comes next and whether I should move on and start dating not just for them but for myself too. They know no one can replace their dad but having a father figure for them to look up to would be nice. Any thoughts, suggestions or opinions welcome. Thanks.
