Birdcage veil for second wedding?

I’m getting married 😃

It’ll be the second marriage for both of us. We both got married super young and it didn’t work out.

My first wedding was really big, with the big church, big dress, everything. So this time around I want like something smaller, more intimate.

I’ll be wearing a short lace dress and I’d like to wear a birdcage veil with it because I think that would look very pretty and fancy. But now everybody is telling me you’re not supposed to wear a veil at all of it’s your second wedding?

Is that true? I don’t want to look stupid or inappropriate.
