Rock and play’s aren’t rated for overnight sleep and are only meant for “supervised” sleep, so an adult needs to be awake when the child is using it. They can contribute to airway blockage. Very occasionally a pediatrician will approve one for a baby with reflux, but that’s looking at the benefits versus the risk.

My now 2 year old absolutely loved hers and actually wouldn't sleep in anything else besides this or the swing. We breastfed so of course she wasn't sleepingnfir mire than a few hours at time in it.

I'm getting one for baby to nap in while I'm working around the house, but baby won't be sleeping in it overnight.

My son napped in his and was obsessed. He usually slept in his crib at night but if he were sick and needed elevated a little to sleep he slept in this... but right by my bed and I checked on him every couple of hours. I also didn’t allow him to sleep or nap in it until he had total head control.

my friends and sisters baby only liked sleeping in these, they hated the crib and co sleepers. I think its parents choice and how well the baby is functioning in it

My second daughter slept in this in a swaddle for the first 6 months of her life 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s all up to your own mom instincts and what you think is safe honestly. 
We found out later that she has a secondary cleft and would experience a lot of drainage that made sleeping on a flat surface difficult for her.
