Taking prenatal vitamins at night may make you super sleepy.
I mentioned to my acupuncturist that I take my vitamins at night to avoid a stomach ache in the morning. She seemed surprised, and suggested I take them in the morning instead.
She said, "If you think about it, they're full of vitamins and minerals meant to give you energy throughout the day. You may be pumping your body with energy right before bed and not sleep well because of it."
That made total sense to me, so I switched to mornings. I'm already feeling better and sleeping better. (Plus I got a maternity pillow and it's so magical.)
