when do I stop?

my son is 2 years old and is between 30 and 32 pounds he's been a little clingy since if become pregnant. I'm now 19 weeks as of today. my question is when do I need to stop carrying him down the stairs when he wants it or picking him up etc. I don't do it much but I still do which makes me wonder when I need to ask for help or just stop doing it until after I have the baby?

when I hold him and I'm around my husband I tell him ok you take him it's becoming painful. and he's happy to help. and thank you all for commenting!

I still carry my 34 lb 4 year old. We're used to carrying our littles and don't have to stop until we're too uncomfortable or we are given restrictions.

I would say that when it becomes uncomfortable physically or when you feel as though you can’t safely maneuver the stairs while carrying him. 
Offer other ways to comfort and snuggle; holding hands while walking down the stairs together, cuddling together while sitting somewhere, reading a book,etc. this way he still gets the comfort he needs but you feel physically comfortable and both are safe ❤️ good luck!!

My 21 month old weighs the same and he always falls asleep on my way home from work. I have to carry him up onto our porch (7 steps) then up to the second story (6 steps), up to his room. I was wondering the same thing. I can handle it right now at 17 weeks but not sure how much longer I can do it for. He's dead asleep so I can't make him walk the stairs himself and my husband is at work. Can't leave him in the car, it's winter and I don't like our neighborhood. I try to get him to nap at work where I nanny but he still passes out on the car ride lol. Mom's gotta do what a moms gotta do!

My 2 year old weighs 33 pounds and I still carry and lift him. Being home alone with him a lot makes it impossible not to 🤷🏼‍♀️. If your body is used to doing it then you should be okay to continue unless its causing discomfort or you don’t feel safe walking the stairs with him.
