Where do we go from here?

My husband and I have been TTC for about 2 years now. We decided last summer that we needed to start seeing a fertility specialist. I have been able to knock out all of my testing (blood work, ultrasound and HSG.. all normal). My husband had his second SA today and the results came back low again (first SA was 12 million and second SA was 9 million). He’s crushed and now he just wants to give up with any doctor help. I don’t even know where to go from here. Any suggestions?

Oh. I will also add. Our first child/son was conceived with IUI. 2 rounds. Hubby started with low numbers. Went to paleo diet (not sure if that was the trick or not). When I was 6 months PP and still exclusively breastfeeding I conceived again. Twins. Naturally. Sadly ended w/ vanishing twin syndrome but did get another handsome son. Then when he was 9 months old we conceived twins yet again while breastfeeding. But yet again ended with vanishing twin syndrome.  
It takes just one sperm... or in my case two 😊

Go see an RE. They initially told my husband it was because he had a low count. All of my tests were normal as well. I finally saw an RE after we grew tired of spinning our wheels and he said his counts were not low enough that I could not become pregnant (even though a urologist said otherwise). I had an exploratory surgery and he found that I had stage 4 endometriosis.  My intestines were down in my pelvis and I also had a small pea sized cyst blocking my right tube. He cleared my tube and cleared up the endo and we did IUI with medication and I was pregnant first  try. Come to find out I also ovulated late. I am normal like clockwork so I never thought I had any issues. See an RE for sure. We wasted our time not going sooner.

He may be feeling guilty that the last two years are because he has a low sperm count & blaming himself.  It’s not his fault but he likely feels he’s let you down.  Let hi process the info. 
There are things you can do.  He can get a For Him fertility supplement.  I think it’s zinc or vitamin b that helps. 
You can also do fertility treatments where they help his sperm. 
You can TTC without trying.  Maybe taking the pressure off will help.  No contraception and great sex x

Look into fertileaid for Men.  I can tripple their count and motility.  Takes three months to take effect.  No drinking,  no smoking of any kind,  exercise and healthy eating,  no hot saunas or hot tubs.  Reevaluate after 3 months of this and see if numbers improve.  If not IVF will be your only option unfortunately.

You can still get pregnant with that amount of sperm. All you need is a couple. ☺ My husband has a low count too and it made him upset for awhile then he got over it. I think it hurts their pride a little.

Ok. Starters. 
When he provided his sample when was the last time he had sex, masturbated or ejaculated? 
   He could be getting false results if it hasn’t been long enough time since. If a guy has a low sperm count then it’s recommended to have sex every other day. Giving the body time to replenish what is last gave. 
If it had been 48 hours since he last ejaculated then here are options. IUI. Clomid (for both male and female use) IVF if it came to it. Some sperm is better than no sperm.
