are the people born in 1999 90’s babies?

So I was born in 1999 and everytime I say I’m a 90’s baby some older person always gets offended and says i’m not a 90’s baby bc its the last year of the 90’s. I get that i was RAISED in the 2000’s but i can’t call myself a 2000’s baby bc I WASNT BORN IN THE 2000’s. I need other people’s thoughts on this ... 🤔🤔🤔

I think being a 90s baby and a 90s kid are two different things. With that being said, in my opinion, anyone who was born in the 90s but didn’t grow up in the 90s are not considered to be 90s kids. Like if you were born in 1989, you are an 80s baby, but a 90s kid. So you were born in 1999, meaning you were born in the 90s so that in turn makes you a 90s baby but you are a 00s kid because you weren’t raised in the 90s.

I was born in 93 so I was somewhat both a 90s baby and a 90s kid. But I mostly remember being raised in the 2000’s. But like others have said your a 90’s baby and a 2000’s kid.

I’m a 99 baby. We were born in the 90s....therefore we are 90s babies. This is such a stupid debate (not from you, I mean in general). It’s just people wanting to feel cooler about themselves because of when they were born even though none of us have any control over that.
Although I was born in 99 and raised on 2000s culture, I was also raised on a lot of 90s culture being as it was still kind of around in my childhood and my parents were teens in the late 90s. Minus the teenage parents part for some, the other parts still ring true for other late 90s babies!

I saw someone make a different group for 1997-2003 or something. I’m a 1997 baby, and I don’t feel like I completely fit in with 90’s kids things or 2000’s kids. Just somewhere in the middle so someone made a name for that age group. (I can’t remember it though) 😂
