So, it’s happening.

My S/O, my best friend is joining the military. He has a few months until he begins his Officer training in September. We currently live together, so i wake up next to him, i go sleep next to him, he is always there...and that’s just perfect.

It’s been a dream of his to join up, and you know what despite my feelings of insecurity, anxiety, worry. I am happy he’s perusing something he will enjoy. I understand he’s not only doing it for himself but he’s also doing it for us, so we can have a better life, i feel so guilty for the way i feel, but i will support him. He’s the one and that’s just how it is.

So i’m here in the respect of i really could do with some advice from people in similar backgrounds.

Advice on how to initially cope, how to support him the best i can. Pretty much everything you wish u had know when your partner signed up.

Also those with negative comments, i’d appreciate it if you kept it to yourself. Thanks :) x
