Gynecologist visit concerns?

I’m 16 years old and I’m sexually active. I became sexually active about 7 months ago with my same partner I’m with now. Considering I’m not on any type of birth control, I rely heavily on FAM (fertility awareness method.) I’ve been very careful about always logging in my daily symptoms on 2 different period trackers to be sure I know when my ovulation is and etc. My partner and I would love to have sex vaginally regularly instead of anal. The only time he ejaculates inside of my vagina is the first day or two of my period. Other than that he pulls out or we have anal sex. I would really like to consider maybe having an IUD inserted in me or maybe birth control pills. I would just feel a lot calmer in my sexual activity if I could. The only issue is I don’t want my mother to know about any of this. She has no clue I’m sexually active and until I’m a little older I want to keep it that way. I need some advice. Should I ask her if I can go to my doctors alone and then consult with my doctor about birth control? Or should I keep being disciplined on knowing my body (fertility awareness method); and in return wait until I’m older to handle this whole situation?

Firstly he should never ejaculate inside you you can still get pregnant. Secondly use a condom always till you have a ring on your finger. Thirdly should should visit a doctor.

I understand not wanting her to find out for a minute, but being sexually actively makes you responsible for the consequences, and if you’re not regularly using protection, there very well could be consequences. You should be using condoms (at least), and you probably should see your doctor about some kind of birth control. It’s great that you understand your body, and it certainly is a misnomer that you can get pregnant at any time in your cycle. With that said, you sound like a smart and relatively responsible young lady, which means you already know the right answer to this question.

You’re 16 years old and honestly why risk it if your method fails at some point and u end up pregnant then you’re gonna have to face a bigger challenge and decision ... if you’re gonna don’t to be sexually active hun I’d suggest u talk to your mom and tell her you want to get protection ... trust me your mother would be happier knowing you’re protected instead of unprotected and having sex

There are many clinics that you can go to without your parents. The one I go to does not require parent consent and they even helped me apply for a family planning wavier so my services there are free.

If you really don’t want a baby, I would not suggest relying on the FAM method. However, your doctor can’t tell your parents anything. If your doctor prescribes you birth control, you can always say that it was to regulate your cycle or because of cramps. 
Even with BC, I strongly suggest using a condom and pulling out to limit your chances of getting pregnant. 
You seem mature enough to understand the only way to prevent pregnancy is to abstain. But your chances are low if you’re using multiple types of contraception. Good luck!

The family planning method isn’t real birth control. If you don’t want to get pregnant (keep in mind you could randomly ovulate at ANY time, so unless you’re taking daily ovulation tests, you’re just guessing) you need pills or other physical forms of birth control. However your parent would know because there will be a cost to get the implant and a monthly cost for any pills- 
What you really need to do is have a conversation with your mom about birth control. If you’re mature enough to have sex surely you’re mature enough to have a conversation with her right?
