i’m 29 weeks and me and my boyfriend are constantly bickering because i don’t want t clean up the house everyday and because i expect him to help me with it. he’s not american and was raised by his mom who did everything around the house m he expects me to do the same. i just feel so down about myself cause he always says i’m dirty i’m nasty i’m this i’m that. i am just so tired and i’m still working as much as i did before we found out. what should i do i really don’t want to leave him

If you work, then it's completely unfair. Him working 40 hours and you working 40 hours is equal. If he works 40 hours and you work, say, 25 hours, then an extra 15 hours of working on the house and caring for the baby is equal. That's how my husband and I do things. The less I work, the more I take on,  but only up to the hours he works per week, then the remainder is split evenly. If he's a good man, try marital counseling. That may very well help. If he's not willing, then I can see why you'd want to leave.

Tell him that a relationship is 50/50. He can't expect you to do everything. Come up with a list of chores together, and each put your name by one. It might seem silly, but maybe he doesn't know exactly how much work goes into cleaning a house.  If he shuts you down on sharing chores, then he's a child. You will come to resent him, and your future kid may pick up his mentality that you will do everything around the house.

Ask yourself this: Do you find his behavior acceptable to be around your child? If no then you have your answer. Maybe you could talk to him and explain that there may be cultural differences and that you need help. Explain to him your pains and what you are feeling on a physical and emotional level. If he doesn't care about that then there is another issue.
