“Females”

I’m gonna leave this a pretty open question.

Since I started frequently frequenting Glow, I’ve noticed a lot of people using the term “females” to refer to women in a derogatory fashion.

Ex- “females are crazy!” “you females are bitches”, “why are you females so petty?”

I’ve also been seeing more of it in memes.

Here’s two I just randomly found on google with the words “female meme”:

Ever since I came across this, I’ve been weirded out by it. User Sparrow mentioned that it is quite dehumanizing. It is almost omitting the fact that a person is a person simply because they’re biologically female. Have you ever seen someone call a man a male in the same fashion? “Males are crazy!” Nope. Female is not noun, it is primarily an adjective. When you use "female" as a noun, the person that you're referring to is erased.

So what are your thoughts on this trend of referring to women as females? Do you think it is harmful, weird, or no big deal?
