More than fuck buddies but not dating??

Ok Ik this is kinda long but pls help!! so I’m in this weird relationship with a guy and idek if u could call it a relationship I️ guess it’s more of a “thing” which rlly doesn’t clarify anything, I️ have straight up asked him if he just wanted to be fuck buddies and told him I️ am fine with that cause I️ am but he kept saying that he “wants to be with me” I’m rlly not sure what that means and he keeps bringing up the point that we are both going to college soon which I️ think is him saying he doesn’t actually wanna date. I️ really like him and don’t want to end things with him but I️ don’t know what I do want, Ive never been big on relationships I’ve got some weird commitment issues. He keeps saying he doesn’t want to hurt me but I️ can’t tell what he actually means and what he is just saying. If anyone has any advice on what I️ should do please help cause I’m wicked confused about what we are or where this is going.
