Is Valentines Christian?

Want to know your thoughts on Valentines, it’s just around the corner. Is it Christian? Its not mentioned in the Bible, so do you think God approves?

There is no biblical reason why Christians should not celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving their loved ones flowers, candy and/or cards. As with celebrating any holiday, the decision should be between the individual and God. Some people feel very strongly that observing any secular holiday is wrong, while others see it as harmless. The important thing to remember is that celebrating or not celebrating holidays should not be a cause for pride or division among Christians.

Most holidays are pagan holidays, but idk I love the feeling they give. It’s really up to you. If you feel the conviction for it, then follow that still small voice. If not, then okay

It is not Christian and God does not approve of this celebration. You just need to do a google search about the origins of st valentine to realise that Valentines Day is rooted in pagan rituals. Because of this, it’s should not be celebrated by true Christians.

Anyone can head hunt, and any holiday can be disregarded and dismissed as pagan or because it has some slight reference to being pagan. However, then you get into legalism with no idea or thought of grace......

The origin of valentines day according to the world book encyclopedia, "that day comes on the feast day of 2 different christian martyrs named Valentine. But the custom comes connected with the day probably came from an ancient roman festival called Lupercalia which took place every February 15. The festival honored Juno, the Roman goddess of women and marriage, and Pan, the God of nature." As Jehovah's Witnesses, we only worship Jehovah God, and we believe, based on Bible verses, that we should only render services/worship to Him alone. - Deuteronomy 5:9, Luke 4:8.
