Nursing strike?
My 8 month old LOVES breastfeeding and I mean LOVES it. These past 2 nights he’s literally slept on my boob. If he unlatched he would hurry up and try and find it again and relatch. Whether or not he was feeding or sucking for comfort I didn’t mind. Well, this morning he went from 7-2 without breastmilk. I tried to pump and give it to him in a bottle and he wouldn’t take it. He always takes his bottle of breastmilk during the day and breastfeeds during the night. Today he kept pushing it away. I had just pumped so I knew he wouldn’t get anything out but I tried to breastfeed him and he latched. So Idk if it’s just the bottle or what. So I ended up giving him formula. He took it right away. So I don’t think he’s on a true nursing strike. Just didn’t want to take the bottle of breastmilk for some reason. I smelt it and it didn’t have an odor so idk why he didn’t want it. He has no teeth yet, and I tried to check to see if he was teething but I don’t think he is and he doesn’t have any teeth coming through. What could this be?
