I need advice🤔

In the middle of December I booked a 4 night trip to an all inclusive resort at Dominican Republic, a place that my husband always wanted to go, for his birthday weekend.

I’m planning to keep it a surprise and drive him to the airport that day and that’s how he will find out. He deserves a nice surprise plus I think it’ll be funny and cute.

However, he is a cook. He works in a restaurant where everything is homemade from scratch (soups, marinara sauce, gravy etc) there are other cooks that can cover for him but no one besides my husband knows how to prepare. I have no idea how I am supposed to surprise him yet make sure that the restaurant is good (like my husband wouldnt be planning to make a soup for the week the day or next day that we are leaving). We’re only going to be gone for 5 days - and I already told the other cooks about this trip and they are fine with it - but I’m just worried with my anxiety if my husband would give me a hard time (because the restaurant has no marinara sauce for example)

What would you do? I really want to keep this a surprise for his birthday....
