How to deal with peer pressure?

Question

I am a Christian teen, as all of you know, high school is full of peer pressure. Almost all of my friends are atheists and I keep turning down people who ask me out because I want a Christian boyfriend who will support my faith instead of tempting me. It is also really hard to remain faithful as of keeping my virginity till marriage. God clearly says he is against it in the Bible and even Christian friends are having teenage sex. I have been offered alcohol by my sister and gave in many times. My life feels like a wreck and I really need someone to pray for me. How did you or do you stay strong in thought times like this? I am trying to grow a lot closer to God but it seems like every Christian I know is smoking weed and having sex behind their parents’ backs.

Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
The word for “conformed" as used in the command to not be conformed to this world could better be rendered, “do not let the world squeeze you into its form" so we are told to not let the world conform us or shape us but rather, be transformed by a renewing of the mind and this is important so we can “discern what is the will of God" and what’s “good and acceptable and perfect" for us. It’s not our peers who should mold us into their image but be molded or shaped into the image of an obedient follower of Christ.
Proverbs 13:20 “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm." (I have to tell myself this a lot) 
We know that whoever we associate with we tend to become like and if we’re associating ourselves with Christ, we’ll become wise. We know that wisdom tends to rub off so why not walk or associate with those who are wise, meaning biblically wise. The only other choice is to suffer harm from being the companion of fools (or those who don’t have the Spirit of God).
Psalm 1:1-2 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night."
To walk with someone means you are in agreement with them just as the Prophet Amos wrote, “Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet" (Amos 3:3). If you are walking with ungodly people then you are saying you are in agreement with them. I mean by “walking with the ungodly" that you are going where they are going, doing what they are doing, and thinking what they are thinking. The godly should not walk “in the counsel of the wicked" and not stand “in the way of sinners" and sit with the scoffers, probably meaning those who scoff at God.
First Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals.’"
As I mentioned in the previous paragraphs, you can become like those you associate with. Your peers may put pressure on you to do things you normally wouldn’t do so don’t be deceived; “Bad company ruins good morals" and that doesn’t mean everyone but us. We can be deceived into thinking we’re being salt and light for the lost but by being continually in their company, we’re going to do things that they do and clearly, the ungodly won’t be living lives that are pleasing to God.
Proverbs 1:10 “My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent."
Peers can easily persuade us into doing things we know that are wrong. (Drinking, smoking, sex before marriage...)When everyone else around them is living in sin, they can easily become ensnared in it. We can’t let sinners entice us into doing things that are contrary to God’s law. It’s so easy to do if we continue to listen to sinners and more so when we walk with them.
Acts 5:29 “But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men."
I am in highschool too, and I know that this is a VERY hard time, and I feel constantly pressured to fit in, but also keep Gods commands at the same time. I don't have any friends at school; they are all from church. Someone once told me "show me your friends and I'll show you your future." It is a very true statement, and I have learned from experience to surround myself with Godly people. Those "Christians" you know may only be giving lip service, and doing it for show, and not actually believe with their hearts.

It’s good to remember that high school is very short compared the rest of life there is to be lived! It can feel like everything at the time. It’s never easy feeling like an outsider, but a short time of it is well worth it as the decisions you make last much longer then high school. They may not admit it out loud now but your peers may come to respect you for your strength one day.

My advice to you is to stay true to yourself, and to stay true to God. He teaches us to be all-loving and all-accepting, so we cannot judge others who are in different places of their journeys. Everyone will stray, but so log as you find your way back to Him and keep your faith first in your heart, God will celebrate your efforts! Be happy, treat yourself healthily, and celebrate in success! Focus on your progress with God, and you will lead a happy life 🤗💙

I had similar issues. I’ve always been the youngest of my friends. For me, it wasn’t so much peer pressure, but I didn’t feel included.
I lost my virginity to my boyfriend at 16. I was really conflicted as to whether I really wanted to do it, but I said yes anyway just so he’d stop pestering me. I don’t regret it, but I really wish I had waited and I wish I was stronger in my beliefs at the time.
As for alcohol, I had my first drink 16 months before my 18th birthday (I’m in Australia and it’s legal to drink at 18). I only did it because I felt left behind. That, I regret.
Drugs have never been of interest to me. I’ve never done them.
I think my advice to you is to strengthen your faith and your relationship with God. You seem to be more religious and stronger than me, and that’s something I really admire.

It may seem like everyone gives into peer pressure but they don't. I didn't. Because I knew that I had something to loose; my future. Smoking doesn't make you cooler, it just gives you lung cancer. Drugs will give you a momentary high but leave you with an addiction that you'll struggle with the rest of your life. Drinking may make you feel good for a hot second but during that second you'll make choices that you'll later come to regret and you could hurt yourself and others during the process. Or they may take advantage of you. Social media teaches us that sex is a freeing natural thing-and that may be true but I personally believe it to be true only after marriage. Being intimate with someone like that is letting them look into your soul, it forges a connection and that is something sacred that should be shared for marriage because darling he will lie with you and then he will leave you if there is no ring involved. No matter the promises he makes. How many high school sweethearts really end up together in the end? Sex shouldn't just be some casual thing, it should be special between just two individuals not many. And once you start with one man and no ring-it will be hard to stop yourself from going with another. Don't do things because other people say it's "cool" or will make you "feel good". If the negatives outweigh the positives it usually isn't worth it. I don't dictate my life with what society says is cool or right, I dictate by my own morals. I personally don't find any of this stuff appealing-I just ignore it-even after recently being pressured for over an hour to drink. It's just not for me. You need to decide for yourself what you think is right, I only give you my view and advice-I don't want to tell you what to do. But it is easier to say no than you think. Just think ahead to the kind of future you're saving yourself for.

Hey, as you can tell I’m also a Christian teen. When I was in school (doing home school now) I also went through peer pressure, but I never experienced “hard” peer pressure thank God. What i experienced was, my friends would tell me to do something I knew wasn’t right and they would tell me it would be just one time, but I never gave in. I think what helped me was to talk to another mature Christian (parents, friends, close brothers/sisters from the congregation, etc) in my case it was my mom and my great grandma. They helped me so much and gave me good advice and advice from the Bible. What also helped me was praying to God and expressing myself to him and asked him for help, and guess what, He always did. Also about the other Christians doing things they’re not suppose to, just because they’re doing it doesn’t mean you should. You have to maintain loyal to God no matter what others do, you know what is right and wrong and they do to, if they don’t want to follow God and his commandments that is on them, I know that sounds blunt but it’s the truth. I want to share with you some Bible verses and more advice: “Bad associations spoil useful habits.”—1 Corinthians 15:33. “Maintain a good conscience.” 1 Peter 3:16. When faced with peer pressure to do wrong, try the following: Weigh the consequences. Ask yourself, ‘What if I give in to the pressure and then get caught? What will my parents think of me? What will I think of myself?’—Bible principle: Galatians Strengthen your convictions. Ask yourself, ‘Why do I believe that this course is harmful, either to myself or to others?’—Bible principle: Hebrews 5:14. Think about your identity. Ask yourself, ‘What kind of person do I want to be?’ Then think about the pressure you are facing and ask, ‘What would that kind of person do in this situation?’—Bible principle: 2 Corinthians 13:5. Think beyond the present. If you are in school, in a few years—or even months—the very people you are trying to impress may not even be in your life. Prepare. The Bible says: “Know how you should answer each person.”—Colossians 4:6.
