Sleeping on back?

So im 24 weeks today and as much as i try sleeping on my sides i CANNOT i always end up turning on to my back. I feel no pain when doing so and my belly isn’t big as i am carrying really low and hes hiding somewhere in there lol. Is sleeping on your back as bad as they say??

I asked my doctor at my 24 week appointment and they said I can lay flat on my back for an hour at most at a time because the added weight of your baby and uterus presses on your major arteries. While you may not feel anything from it, your baby may have decreased blood flow which isn't good. If you wake up on your back just roll over onto your side. You don't have to be completely on your side either. Use pillows to make yourself more comfortable. If you must sleep on your back you can use pillows under your head and upper back so you aren't flat on your back.

I sleep with a wedge pillow behind my back. So at least I’m not completely flat when I wake up on my back. Works me me.

I sleep on  my back majority of the night, only because I have extreme hip pain if I lay on my sides. I truly miss sleeping on my belly tho, I cannot wait to do that again!

I’m 25 weeks and I still wake up on my back. I just roll over on to my side when it happens and use pillows like a sort of kick stand lol 
So far it hasn’t caused me any problems other than it puts my baby in a weird position when I wake up in the morning and my bump look smaller.

I have the same problem! I told my doctor about it a few weeks ago and she said not to worry. She said if it’s having an effect on my blood flow I will be able to tell, and it should be a problem until I’m quite a bit further along.

Try putting a thin or not so fluffy pillow behind your back to one side. For me it feels like I'm on my back but I'm really propped up on my side slightly. Hope that makes sense.

I feel faint soon as I Lie on my back

I sleep on my back sometimes when I have crazy amounts of heartburn. I just can't lie on my side because I have to be at a good incline. 
When I do sleep on my side, I use a large pillow between my legs, which seems to keep me from rolling into my back in my sleep.
