Is it too early to take a pregnancy test?

Soo my partner and I are trying to have our 3rd baby riight.. Its been 4 months and nothibg. We were busy when I was ovulating, my period is suppose to come next week around Jan30-31. 3 days After ovulation I started to feel some cramps and sunday and monday I was very light spotting, like brownish and pinkish, very little mucus with some tint of blood. Im anxious to know if I could be pregnant, is it too early to test or should I wait???? Thank you.
