Safe word?

Am I the only one that gets confused by safe words? Why don’t y’all just agree that “stop” means stop? I’d feel kind of funny yelling “pineapple” while I’m having sex. Does anyone feel the same way or am I crazy? Lol

Some people say 'no', 'stop' or something similar when they don't actually want to stop. Having a safe word is more clear, because if you're shouting lasagne in the middle of sex your partner is going to know exactly what that means, unless you're just really hungry

Its to account for those that sometimes like to use "no" while practicing BDSM, but "no" doesnt mean stop, its a form of sexual-play for some people. Same can be said with "stop". 
Thats why people choose to use other words (mines nintendo lol)

I would think to avoid confusion between "Don't stop" and "Don't! Stop!"

I think part of it is about continuing after hearing "stop".
