anyone with smaller babies?

My son is 15 months old and only weighs 19 pounds. He is around 30 inches long. Every time we go in for a check up his weight doesn’t seem to change much. The doctor isn’t concerned and told me he is just a smaller baby. He does meet all his milestones, but all his percentages are low on the average growth charts. I just tend to worry.

My daughter is 15 months and 17 pounds. Doctor is not too worried since I was always so small, as long as she’s getting taller and her head is growing and eating she’s good.

our daughter was 23 lbs and 33 inches long at her 15 month appt. she's definitely not on the low end. she's actually on the high end. 70th percentile for weight and 89th percentile for hight. that said, as long as pediatrician has no issues, there's no reason to worry about it. it's not like your child is in the 4th percentile on weight.. that would be a bit of a concern. at this stage, they start to slow down on weight gain.. they even out a bit... it's normal and unless pediatrician said otherwise,  there's nothing to worry about . in fact,  I remember our pediatrician saying that our daughter will start slowing do
wn on weight gain. . I laughed and said :" yeah right, she eats non stop ". well,  he was right. she was in the 89th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for hight at her 12 months appt. she was 23 lbs and 32 inches long. she didn't gain nor loose in weigh . hight went up by an inch from 12 months to 15 months.  our was absolutely correct on his statement. here's a pic at 12 months old ( her 1st birthday photoshoot ) , u can see the chubby cheeks, legs, etc. and then a pic at 18 months.  same weight , an inch taller.

My son gained only like 4 oz from 12-15 month check ups! I was super worried esp bc he doesn’t drink milk Bc of an allergy but our dr said it’s perfectly normal. A lot of babies slow down growing around now. So I’m not in the smaller baby range as he is still like 50th percentile, but def in the slowed growth camp 🤷🏽‍♀️.
