My pee stream doesn’t come out straight. Should I see a doctor?

I hover every time I use the bathroom even at my own house. I only sit when I go #2. For a while now, every time I go to the restroom I pee all over myself. When the stream comes out it just sprays everywhere. It even gets on the floors of the restrooms I go to. I just don’t understand what’s going on. I try to pee slow to prevent it from happening but it’s like the stream shoots to the left or right and winds up rolling down my legs. It’s so extremely embarrassing because it gets all over my clothes. I don’t know if maybe I should see a doctor or if this is just idk something that happens? Please help! I asked my mother about this and she said I just need to start sitting and or placing tissue on the seats of the toilets I sit on to help with my problem. Is that really all there is to it?
