Breastfeeding and pacifiers....

When did you introduce your baby to a pacifier that was exclusively breast fed? My son is 20 days old and has started getting fussy in the afternoons, to the point he nurses falls asleep partially latched but not sucking, move him and he wakes up screaming and wants to nurse again...he will spend a couple of hours doing this. I’ve been nursing him as much as he wants and he’s gaining weight and growing. Leary of him having problems latching with introducing a pacifier too early...planning to start introducing a bottle between 4-6 weeks as well.
