I'm sick. Will my baby get sick too?

I have a 10 week old baby and today I woke up ill. I have a sore throat, headache, and I'm lightheaded. I've heard that breastfeeding will protect my LO from getting sick but I'm still worried and need some reassurance. He's exclusively breast fed. Are there any precautions I should take?

When my son was 4wks old both my husband and I came down with the stomach flu. It’s so contagious I was freaking out! But our son never got it!! I know every situation is different but maybe this’ll give you some peace of mind. And he breast milk is helping with antibodies. 👍🏻

If you are really worry you can use a mask but while EBF baby should be protected. I EBF my daughter for 10 months and she never got sick while I was and a had a few really bad colds. Good luck

Babies that are breastfed and momma is sick--- baby has already been exposed to your cold way before you show any symptoms. Best way to make sure baby doesn't get worse or to kick the cold faster is to continue to breastfeed.
