IS THIS NORMAL?

Hi ladies, so I got the Mirena IUD put in in June, I got it removed in the middle of December due to me bleeding lots and pain. I went right on birth control but I started to bleed from dec 18-27th. So I went off the birth control pills on dec 20. And kept bleeding and now I’m not on any birth control. My boyfriend and I use condoms. I haven’t gotten my period yet and I’m wondering was that my period? Or just bleeding because I was on the IUD and didn’t bleed? How will I know when my period is?

My doctor said to wait one period too just because it’s a less likely chance of miscarriage but I got pregnant the month I took mine out and everything went great!

I can’t answer for sure, but I know the feeling. I had an IUD removed at the end of October after 4 years, it turned out that it was slightly implanted but came out okay. I had my period the next week on time, but my period in November was over a week late and then lasted longer than usual, and then if I’m remembering  right I think my period may have come about a week late in December as well (so ~5 plus weeks each time instead of 28 days on the dot). And literally I have never been more than a day late except for being pregnant with my son 5 years ago, so cue major panic both times 😩 now in January it was right on time and seems to have settled back into pre-IUD length and heaviness, so my feelings is that there may just be an adjustment period for your body after removing the IUD?  
Honestly though I went to the dollar store and stocked up on pregnancy tests and used A TON the last two months just cause I was freaking out 😂
