Nikah and pregnant?

Question

Does anyone know if you can have a nikah and be pregnant? What if only one of you is Muslim? Does it make a difference? Curious.....

Assalam alaykum dear, of course you can be pregnant during a nikaah. Of course, Islamically, one should not have sexual intercourse before a marriage, but if the woman isn't or wasn't muslima, then she is not to blame (the one to blame would be her partner).
Above that, there is no Islamic principle nor law that prohibits the woman from being pregnant during her marriage, as being in a non pregnant state is not one of the conditions of a lawful nikah.
It is just something that's not expected, so it could be subject of surprise, but no one can forbid something wich is not explicitly forbidden in Islam.

You should ask someone who has studied Islam rather than asking in a group! I've heard that you are not allowed to get married while your pregnant. I forgot the reason though. It's been a few years since I've heard it. Also it depends on who of you isn't Muslim. If the man is not Muslim, you can not marry him at all. If you aren't Muslim, you must be a Christian or jew and you must practice your faith to be able to have a nikkah! But again, it would be best to go talk to an imam

Asalaamu alaikum.. I have also hear that you cannot have your nikkah while pregnant. A friend of mine thought she was pregnant and her nikkah was coming up. They’re both Muslim. Remember Islam is perfect, we are not. The imam that married her told her if she was they would have to wait until after the child is born to get married. It would be best to reach out to the imam marrying you or someone hat has studied.
