Hubby said he doesn’t like stretch marks

So my husband of 8 years is AMAZING. So I’m not bashing him but I need maybe some perspective or something. We are pregnant with second child (currently 26 weeks). I have distinct stretch marks from my first. They don’t look horrible to me but they do stand out. I asked him the other day if they bothered him and his response kinda caught me off guard. He responded that he didn’t like them. I then said do they take away from how attractive I am to you. And he said yes. He then said as I get older my attractiveness comes from diff places. It didn’t hurt my feelings but I’m kinda confused on how I feel about that. I feel kinda defeated or helpless or something. He said he wants me to do things to minimize the appearance of them. I never exactly liked them but I thought of them as beautiful in the way that I got them (pregnancy and nursing).
