Did anybody mix whole milk and formula at 11 months?

So my wic counselor told me that when my child gets to 11 months to start mixing his formula with whole milk, the go to just whole milk at a year. Did anyone else do this? And did she mean actually mix the two together or alternate from formula to milk?

I've always transitioned my kids from formula to whole milk at the 11th month. of course talked to my pediatrician first. Its so you can see if there is any reactions. I did 2oz whole milk, 6 oz formula one week. 4 oz whole milk and 4 oz formula  2nd week. Then week 3, 6 oz whole milk and 2 oz formula..4th week just whole milk.

For my kiddos who were lactose intolerant it took by their 3td bray for them to be able to tolerate whole milk so they gave him lactaid

I think you need to ask the pediatrician, but for my daughter my doctor said to mix the two together to ease her into drinking the whole milk. Start with 1/4 milk and 3/4 formula and then slowly change the percentage over time so that eventually it is all milk.

They have toddler transition formula.  whole milk,  or cows  milk has alot of sugar

My WIC told me to do this at 12. Basically they had me swap an ounce of formula for an ounce of whole milk and every two weeks I’d up the milk ounces. 
So...
week 1&2: 8 formula 0 milk
Week 3&4: 7 formula 1 milk
Week 5$6: 6 formula 2 milk
Week 7&8: 5 formula 3 milk
And so on. 
My daughter had a problem with milk proteins though so I’m not sure if that is normal.

I did with my first. Our ped had us start right before she was about 11 months. One bottle a day was half and half and did that for a few days, then the next one half and half, and so on till they all were, and then we went to one full with the rest half and half, and just kept doing that till they were all whole milk. We had no issues switching this way.
