Short Cycle

Hi ladies! So, I have a short cycle (24 days), but according to the previous opk's I've used, I surge/ovulate on the 14th day of my cycle. Would I be able to take a pregnancy test the first day of my missed period? Or is that too early, since my cycle is shorter than normal?
