So I’m on birth control—have for a few years now. My periods have been very consistent and quite short but recently they’ve gotten longer, starting earlier and I’m even having spotting in the middle of the month—which has NEVER happened to me before.

Sometimes I have pain during sex so there may have just been a little tearing and that’s all it is. But the bleeding isn’t consistent with painful sex. Anyone else experienced this? Is it normal and I’ve just been lucky this whole time?
