Has anyone else gone through this? My daughter barely ever wants anything to do with me. She’s a daddy’s girl through and through. She was sick last week and screamed at me and told me to “go away!” At the doctors office. I love this kid more than anything and I get so upset that I cry about it. I’ve never heard of a toddler not be comforted by her own mother. And yes I am a loving person- I often hug/kiss her and tell her I love her. This happens when she’s upset and needs comfort mostly. She has never done this to anyone else except me and it really breaks my heart.

Do I ignore when she tells me to “go away” or tell her “that’s not nice” or just go away? Looking to see if anyone’s in a similar situation. I feel so hurt and like an awful mother but I know I’m really not.
