Baby crying non stop

I fed my baby at 9 last night at my parents house and then headed to get SO from work at 10. When we got home, SO's mom, we live with her, and 5 year old brother just grab baby and take him upstairs and start playing w him. Brother is just yelling and always gets in baby's face and trying to play. I'm honestly a little ticked off as I told MIL baby was sleeping. So he starts to cry around 1045 so she gives him back and then I try to feed him and he just keeps crying. We tried everything- diaper, bicycle legs, tummy rub, gripe water (which he literally choked on, never wanna use this again, he hates the taste anyway), and feeding which would b two sucks and then screaming again. Eventually after like 30 minutes maybe he just went to bed. What could this have been??? I know 11 is very late to get a baby to bed, I want to get on a good sleep schedule but need advice. Could baby have been overtired from MIL and brother waking him up fully or could it be stomach problems?
