GBSpositive

Skye

So I just got a call on my screenings saying I had high levels of gbs and need to be treated - but I’m allergic to penicillin, so they have to run some more tests before they can prescribe me anything. I’m so upset as this means I have to have an IV at delivery which was my least favorite part of my last two deliveries, and I’ll have another extended hospital stay which means being away from my other babies longer than I’d like. I’m pretty freaked out about what this means testing positive so early. Any other mommas get this news? I need some positive stories of early gbs (my last two babies I tested positive later on and did ok, but never this early).
